UNICEF Committed to Support Cambodia’s Education

UNICEF is committed to support Cambodia's education development, especially the reform priorities by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports to respond to the education transformation of the Sustainable Development Goal 4.

The commitment was highlighted by Dr. Will Parks, new Representative of UNICEF in Cambodia during a meeting with H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports here in Phnom Penh recently.

Dr. Will Parks recalled the minister on the close partnership between the ministry and UNICEF and congratulated the ministry's achievements, especially its education intervention during the COVID-19 spread.

H.E. Hang Chuon Naron thanked UNICEF for its support to Cambodia's education, particularly in response to the ministry's reform priority and education measures amidst the COVID-19 crisis.

UNICEF focused particularly on bringing children to school, teaching and learning quality improvement, and institutional capacity building, he added.
