Two Japan Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) ships – JS URAGA and JS AWAJI, have been paying a three-day visit to Cambodia.

They arrived at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS) on April 24 with a warm welcome from senior officers at Ream Naval Base.

According to the Embassy of Japan in Phnom Penh, this is the JMSDF’s second visit to Cambodia in this year of the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During its three-day visit, the embassy added, the JMSDF and the Royal Cambodian Navy will conduct a number of goodwill exercises and exchanges to deepen mutual trust and friendship.
