SEA Games 2023: Four Cambodian Kickboxing Athletes to Move to Finals

Four Cambodian athletes of Kickboxing (punching, kicking and striking) held here at Morodok Techo National Stadium this afternoon as part of the SEA Games 2023 will advance to the finals, a good move to gain additional medals for the nation.

Three Cambodian athletes defeated their counterparts by Final Score. Cambodian athletes Vy Sreychay overcame her Thai counterpart Chotlam Chutima for Women's 54kg category. While Cambodian fighter Toch Rachhan won his Indonesian Sinaga Fransiskus for Low Kick of Men’s 57kg, another Cambodian player Sorn Rakim also beat his Vietnamese rival Chinh Hoang Van for Low Kick of Men’s 63.5kg.

For Men's 51 kg Low Kick category, the most interesting competition, with his amazing back kick, Cambodian athlete Sok Rith knocked out his Thai competitor Raseesaroch Chaithong to surrender just in the first round while the kickboxing competition has three rounds with two minutes in each round.

Cambodia’s gold medal record now rose to 62: 14 in Kun Khmer, 10 in Vovinam, 8 in Kun Bokator, 4 in Chinlone, 3 in Jiu-Jitsu, 2 in Soft Tennis, 2 in E-sports, 2 in Triathlon, 2 in Cricket, 2 in Pencak Silat, 2 in Billiard, 2 in Fin Swimming, 1 in Ouk Chaktrang (Chess), 1 in Basketball, 1 in Karate, 1 in Wushu, 1 in Badminton, 1 in Athletics, 1 in Wresting, 1 in Traditional Boat Race, and 1 in Judo.

Completed competitions of SEA Games 2023 included Kun Bokator, Kun Khmer, Ouk Chaktrang, Vovinam, Jiu Jitsu, Triathlon, Sailing, Diving, Swimming, and Petanque.
