Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen appreciates enhanced cooperation between Cambodia and the Lao People's Democratic Republic to make the border between the two a safe and developing area. Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King, highlighted his appreciation when receiving Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security of Lao PDR Gen. Vilay Lakhamfong in Phnom Penh on Mar. 15. Gen. Vilay Lakhamfong informed Samdech Techo Hun Sen about the key results of the meeting between him and his Cambodian counterpart, which focused on further strengthening the security along the border between the two neighbours. The two ministries also agreed on strengthening awareness among both the peoples and armed forces along the border on measures and cooperation to counter cross-border crimes and illicit drug smuggling. Samdech Techo Hun Sen spoke highly of the outcome of Gen. Vilay Lakhamfong's visit to Cambodia. Through Gen. Vilay Lakhamfong, the former Prime M inister of Cambodia also conveyed his highest regards to the General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and Lao President H.E.
