PM Meets Cambodian Athletes Ahead of 32nd SEA Games’ Opening Ceremony

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen held a get-together with over 1,000 Cambodian athletes, coaches, and technical assistants, ahead of the official Opening Ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games scheduled for May 5.

Speaking on the occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his wish that the world will know more about Cambodia through the 32nd SEA Games.

“Before, some nations knew Cambodia by the Khmer Rouge genocidal regime, while 70 nations knew Cambodia by rice, and this time I hope the world will know Cambodia by SEA Games,” he said.

The Premier took the opportunity to guarantee safety, games’ schedules, foods, and accommodations for all sport delegates from other ASEAN member countries and Timor-Leste.

At the same time, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also called for attention to halal food for the Muslim sports delegates.

Cambodia will host the 32nd SEA Games from May 5 to 12 and the 12th ASEAN Para Games from June 3 to 9 under the motto "Sport: Live in Peace".
