Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen urged relevant institutions, especially the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) to further enhance the quality of higher education, particularly the doctorate degree.
While presiding over the inauguration ceremony of a new school building of Preah Sihamoniraja Buddhist University here this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the doctoral thesis defence in our nation seems too easy.
The Premier urged the MoEYS to review the quality of doctoral programme in the Kingdom and to pay attention to both the thesis mentors and the thesis defence committee.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also asked all universities to attract more qualified and experienced lecturers and professors in contribution to human resource development in the whole country.
