Men’s U-22 Football: Cambodia-Philippines Match Ends in Score Draw

The match between Cambodian U-22 men’s football team and their Filipinos counterparts, held at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh this evening as part of the 32nd SEA Games, ended in score draw (1-1).

Ky Rina from Cambodia's Kouprey team got the first goal at the 26th minute, allowing Cambodian team to have a leading score, before he could not continue playing due to his injury.

At the 90th+ minute, Filipino Carino Dov Anthony Misael Santico scored a goal, bringing the Philippines to a 1-1 draw against Cambodia.

With the first victory over Timor-Leste 4-0 on April 29, Cambodia is temporarily at the top of Group A with 4 points.

Besides Timor-Leste and the Philippines, host Cambodia still have two more matches with Myanmar and Indonesia on May 7 and 10, respectively.

Earlier, in the afternoon of May 2, Myanmar beat Timor-Leste 1-0 in a Group A match.

Group A consists of Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Timor-Leste, while Group B of Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
