Czech Republic is committed to continuing to promote the cooperation on agriculture sector with Cambodia.

The commitment was highlighted in a meeting in Phnom Penh on April 6 between H.E. Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) and H.E. Martin Vavra, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Cambodia.

H.E. Dith Tina spoke highly of the good cooperation between Cambodia and the Czech Republic; and reiterated the Kingdom’s stance to continue working together on transfer of mechanical and energetic technologies, especially to add value to agricultural products.

The minister asked the Czech side to help train Cambodian human resources in contribution to the agricultural development in Cambodia. He also suggested a discussion with development partners to share Cambodia's agricultural potential.

The meeting also touched on the cooperation of freshwater and marine aquaculture, agriculture, particularly rubber plantation, and scholarship provision to Cambodian students of the Royal University of Agriculture.
