Some protestors continue to remain in the areas around the Government Headquarters at Admiralty, as well as at Mong Kok and Causeway Bay, but the situation is calm.  There are still some disruptions to traffic and public transport services.  Meanwhile, there is a call from the protest organisers for more people to gather at Admiralty in the afternoon of Friday, 10 October 2014.     

Singaporeans travelling to or residing in Hong Kong should continue to listen to the local news and monitor developments closely.  They should take all necessary precautions for their personal safety, including purchasing comprehensive travel and medical insurance.
