The Police have arrested three men aged 22, 30 and 41 who are believed to be involved in a case of motor vehicle theft

On 4 March 2017, at about 12.08 am, the victim had discovered that her car was missing from a multi storey car park at Strathmore Avenue. The vehicle was subsequently found abandoned along Beach Road after it was involved in an accident on the same day.

Through extensive ground enquiries and follow-up investigations, officers from Clementi Division established the identity of the 3 suspects. Within 14 hours from the time of the report, the officers arrested them at Pasir Ris and Strathmore Avenue.

The 3 suspects will be charged in Court on 6 March 2017 for the offence of Theft of Motor Vehicle which carries a maximum jail term of seven years' imprisonment and shall also be liable to a fine.
