A terrorist attack has been averted in Turkey's Siirt province, the Anadolu Agency reported May 13.
A car bomb was found by the police as a result of the special operation, according to the report.
Reportedly, the terrorist attack was planned by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorist group.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has continued for over 25 years and has claimed more than 40,000 lives. The UN and the European Union listed the PKK as a terrorist organization.
