Singapore Reports 18 New COVID-19 Cases

Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH), reported 18 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 yesterday, including nine locally transmitted and nine imported, bringing the total tally to 62,263.

All of the local cases are in the community. Among them, four were linked to previous cases.

Yesterday, 39 more recovered patients were discharged from hospitals and community isolation facilities, bringing the total number of recoveries to 61,838 in the island country.

There are currently 125 COVID-19 patients being treated in hospitals. Of them, one is in critical condition and held in the intensive care unit.

Meanwhile, 266 people, who have mild symptoms or are clinically well, but still test positive for COVID-19, are being isolated and cared for at community facilities.

Altogether 34 people have passed away from complications due to the COVID-19 infection in Singapore
