H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport, met with a delegation from China Development Bank (CDB) led by its General Manager for Guangxi Branch Mr. Mei Shiwen, at the ministry office in Phnom Penh late last week.

According to a news release of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Mr. Mei Shiwen briefed H.E. Senior Minister on the scope of CDB's business operations in China and their support extended to Cambodia. He expressed his willingness to increase cooperation with the ministry to contribute more to the infrastructure development of Cambodia.

H.E. Sun Chanthol expressed his sincere thanks on behalf of the country for CDB's active cooperation which included assisting in moving forward the expressway project from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville, the Airport project in Siem Reap and other projects in Cambodia.

He suggested that CDB continue to cooperate on future Chinese investment projects in Cambodia related to road infrastructure, expressways, port development, logistics, railways and urban transport systems.

Mr. Mei Shiwen noted H.E. Senior Minister's requests and pledged to further strengthen the relationship with the ministry, providing loan support and promoting investment on new opportunities and potential projects in Cambodia.
