Seabed Museum Mulled to Attract Tourists

The Ministry of Tourism is studying the feasibility of establishing a seabed war museum and scuba diving tourism to attract domestic and foreign tourists.

According to Preah Sihanouk Deputy Provincial Governor H.E. Long Dimanche, the establishment of the seabed war museum will be done through a collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment.

The seabed museum, planned around Koh Ta Keo, will showcase the warplanes and the military aircraft during World War II, coral reefs, and biodiversity.

He added that the provincial administration has conducted additional research on locations where tourists can dive to explore the corals safely.

Preah Sihanouk province has a total of 32 islands with the potential to become vacation destinations, he continued.
