— GALLERY・2 named as Sitecore Experience Award Japan 2014 winner, using Sitecore to achieve 20% year-on-year sales growth

Ooredoo Myanmar took the coveted overall Sitecore Experience Award, and GALLERY・2 was awarded the Sitecore Experience Award Japan.

The Sitecore Experience Awards celebrate the achievements of Sitecore customers and partners who have used the Sitecore® Experience Platform™ to deliver the best experience for their customers, with each award winner clearly demonstrating results for improving customer experience and achieving business objectives.

The award winners also showed how their organisations are benefiting from the extensive capability within the single, connected Sitecore Experience Platform, with many winners delivering multichannel, multi-device experiences to their customers, involving areas such as social media, business systems integration and cloud deployment.

This year’s awards featured a record number of categories, with Sitecore customers and solution partners battling over a total of 11 awards. This included three marketing specialist categories, one business results category, Best Japanese Website and the overall Sitecore Experience Award.

Ooredoo Myanmar took the coveted overall Sitecore Experience Award, along with its Sitecore Solution collaborators Avanade, a global business technology solutions and managed services provider, and Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company.

Mobile phone operator Ooredoo Myanmar won the award for its use of the Sitecore Experience Platform to build a marketing portal for both its consumer and business divisions. Their website uses responsive design to adapt the site for any device, whether it is a PC, tablet or mobile phone. With a choice of Myanmar and English language options, the site uses templates and sub-components for content management, and also features social media integration. Ooredoo Myanmar broke through the one million customer milestone within the first month of going live in Myanmar and obtaining early advantage in this rapidly emerging mobile market.

The Sitecore Experience Award Japan was presented to the retail shop specialized in spots goods, GALLERY2, who use the Sitecore Experience Platform to create a personalized digital experience across all devices, with GALLERY・2 achieving 20% year-on-year sales growth.

The new site also personalises to each user, so that the site content is always tailored to the visitor’s favourite sport. GALLERY・2 now use the Sitecore platform to manage social media interaction and E-commerce together.

Medical Principle Co., Ltd. , who operates ‘Minkan Ikyoku’, a career consulting service site for medical doctors, won both Best Business and Professional Services Site and Best Systems Integration Site categories. Built on the Sitecore Experience Platform with Microsoft Dynamics CRM integration, the site now helps to improve the career match process between medical organizations and doctors, resulting in a great achievement in business.

This year’s Best Entertainment, Sports, and Leisure Site category winner was presented to Sport Singapore, with their consumer website ‘ActiveSG’, rebranded as www.myActiveSG.com and redeveloped by Sitecore Solution partner Reading Room Singapore. Sport Singapore’s objective was to encourage further participation in sport, with the redevelopment focused on serving more relevant content and encouraging visitors to stay longer on the site. In the first six months since the website launched, users are now returning more frequently to the new site compared to the previous Sport Singapore flagship consumer site during the same period one year ago.

Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. is the category winner of Best Manufacturing, Automotive, and Technology Site, with Sitecore Solution partner arvato Systems China helping to deliver the website project. The website won the award for increasing both the amount of sales leads and the average visit time across every page.

This year’s Best Travel and Hospitality Site category winner was presented to Rosewood Hotel Group, with their websites designed & developed by Sitecore Solution partner Isobar Hong Kong Ltd. There are altogether 31 websites running on one Sitecore solution and a set of robust and scalable templates have been produced to cater for help the business expansion successfully.

SPEEDWORK won the Best Business Transformation Award of this year. Together with Sitecore Solution partner Zepan Information, the website has helped the company to build an O2O (online to offline) business model in car parts market, with a move away from its traditional business model. Customers can now purchase recommended car parts and book car services online before taking their car to the service station for maintenance.

Online advertising consultancy Le Grand Co., Ltd. was awarded the Best Digital Marketing System Deployment/Integration Site. Their re-designed site has been able to deliver an outstanding experience for their site visitors, by delivering personalized content according to the visitor’s behaviour history. The site has also improved the conversion rate of acquired leads.
