New head of Turkey's Central Bank Murat Cetinkaya will officially take office on Apr.19, the Sabah newspaper reported.

Cetinkaya was appointed to this post Apr.11.

He has been working in the country's banking sector since 2003.

Prior to this appointment, the Central Bank was headed by Erdem Basci.

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in February 2015 that he is not satisfied with the work of the Central Bank's head.
