The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan will visit Singapore from 30 to 31 October 2014 to co-chair the inaugural Singapore-United Arab Emirates Joint Committee (SUJC) with Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law K Shanmugam. The SUJC will be the primary platform for enhancing bilateral cooperation between Singapore and the UAE federal government. The SUJC will be held biennially.
During Sheikh Abdullah’s visit, Minister Shanmugam will host him to dinner on 30 October. Sheikh Abdullah will also call separately on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, as well as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean on 31 October. In addition, Sheikh Abdullah will visit the Resource and Counselling Centre of the Religious Rehabilitation Group at Khadijah Mosque.
Sheikh Abdullah will be accompanied by officials from various government agencies from the UAE.
