SINGAPORE, Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Rogelio Sierra held a meeting here yesterday with the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry of Singapore, Ng Teck Hean, in which they discussed issues of bilateral and international interest.

According to the Cuban official in his Twitter account, the dialogue allowed to strengthen the links between the Caribbean island and this city-state.

The meeting, described by Sierra as productive, also made it possible to demonstrate the will to expand economic relations between the two countries.

The Cuban Deputy Minister visited Singapore on his way to Nauru, where he will head the Caribbean island's delegation to the 49th Pacific Islands Forum from September 3 to 6, Havana's Foreign Ministry recently said.

According to a press release, this forum is the main event in the Pacific region, which brings together 14 small island countries, as well as observers and dialogue partners.
