Siem Reap: The APSARA National Authority (ANA) in collaboration with the Department of Anthropology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong has launched a six-month exhibition at the Preah Norodom Sihanouk-Angkor Museum in Siem Reap province, running from June until the end of December.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the official opening ceremony took place late last week under the presidency of H.E. Long Kosal, Deputy Director-General, representing H.E. Dr. Hang Peou, Director-General of the APSARA National Authority. The event was honoured by the presence of Mr. LU Qizhi, Director of the Consular Office in Siem Reap, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Cambodia, along with ANA’s officials and staff.
The exhibition aims to highlight the ceramics production industry during the Angkorian era and its connections with China. It offers a fresh perspective on Angkor’s legacy by exploring cultural, social, and commercial interactions between the two regions. Visitors can attend the exhibition from June 6 until Dec. 31, 2025, where they will also have the opportunity to view various art objects sourced from excavations, restorations, and conservation efforts within the museum.
