As intermittent violence continues to occur in Cairo and other parts of Egypt, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) continues to advise Singaporeans to defer non-essential travel to Egypt.   

Singaporeans who are currently in Egypt are reminded to be alert and take the necessary precautions for their personal safety, including monitoring the news closely, observing instructions from local authorities and avoiding areas of public disturbances.  In addition, as the security situation in the Sinai Peninsula remains uncertain, Singaporeans are advised to avoid any overland travel to and from the Sinai area.
