Abacus Distribution Systems (B) Sdn Bhd, Brunei’s leading travel technology provider, celebrates its silver Jubilee with partners and customers from across the region’s travel community by hosting a gala dinner on Friday for over 200 guests at the Royal Brunei Recreation Club in Berakas.

Among those who attended were representatives of shareholders of Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) and Sabre, also include partners from Malaysia airlines, Singapore Airlines, TTCO, Tourism Malaysia, Baiduri Bank Sdn Bhd, Cityneon Brunei and Royal Brunei Catering (RBC).

Dermot Mannion, Chairman of Abacus Brunei, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to RB and their travel partners for their continued support.

“The Abacus Brunei team has gone from strength to strength over the past 25 years. I am grateful for the dedication and commitment of our staff, and would like to thank each and every one of them for sharing our vision for success here in Brunei,” he-said.

Meanwhile, Irene Soon, General Manager of Abacus Brunei, said, “It is hugely rewarding to see how far and how fast the industry has evolved to meet changing demand.

“We have come a long way. The top two Travel Agent Award 2014/15 (air booking), was bagged by Century Travel Centre Sdn Bhd, Bandar Seri Begawan taking first place while Pan Bright Travel Service, Kuala Belait came in second.

Abacus Brunei is part of Abacus International which was recently acquired by Sabre, a leading global technology provider to the travel and tourism industry.
