His Excellency Truong Hoa Binh, Member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, will make an official visit to Singapore from 13 to 15 July 2017 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean. This will be Permanent DPM Binh's first official visit to Singapore in his current capacity. Permanent DPM Binh will be accompanied by senior Vietnamese officials from various government agencies.

During his visit, Permanent DPM Binh will call on President Tony Tan and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. DPM Teo will meet and host Permanent DPM Binh to an official dinner. Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon will host lunch for Permanent DPM Binh, who was formerly the Chief Justice of Vietnam's Supreme People's Court.

During his visit, Permanent DPM Binh will receive briefings by the Ministry of Home Affairs on cooperation in crime prevention and counter-terrorism; Ministry of Transport and Land Transport Authority on traffic management; Cyber Security Agency on cyber-security cooperation; Government Technology Agency on e-governance; Public Service Division on civil service and administrative reforms; and the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau on anti-corruption.
